Dartmoor National Park is a vast moorland in the county of Devon in southwest England. Dartmoor ponies roam its craggy landscape, defined by forests, rivers, wetlands and tors (rock formations). Its trails wind through valleys with Neolithic tombs, bronze age stone circles and abandoned medieval farmhouses. The sheer mystery of this ancient place is so intriguing it has pulled me into its mystique long enough to paint it, but unfortunately not long enough to soak in the spirit and story of every rock that treasures the history of this ancient land.
